After our successful launch in Brisbane on 11 December 2018, attended by over 150 Queensland footy followers, we now to look to regional Queensland to launch the book in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Capricornia, Bundaberg-Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
We will have regional launches locked in by the end of January.
In December 2018 Greg Parker and Murray Bird published their book “More of the Kangaroo – 150 years of Australian football in Queensland 1866-2016”
To celebrate this momentous milestone and provide an important legacy for the future, a well-established group of Australian football historians have dedicated their efforts to producing a prestigious publication recording the history of our game in Queensland.
Our group, known as the Queensland Australian Football Forensics (QAFF), has been diligently and actively collecting facts, records and information from numerous sources throughout the length and breadth of Queensland. We believe football followers and supporters will be genuinely astounded by the amount of interesting information that has been unearthed.
Our book, a hard cover volume, which will contain in excess of 1100 pages, and cover major and minor leagues and associations in both city and regional areas over a 150-year period.
More of the Kangaroo is the most significant publication dedicated to the history of football in Queensland.
